Building a raised garden bed is the easiest way to organize your vegetable garden properly and to keep your plans weed free. If you select the right raised garden bed plans, you can get the job done is just a few hours and pend just a few hundred dollars.

In most of the cases, you need to secure the corner posts into the ground, at least 1', so make sure you cut the 4x4 lumber at the right size. Drill pilot holes trough the 2x8 slats and lock them into place with galvanized screws, to prevent the wood from splitting.
Attach nice 2x6 trims on top of the frame, as it will make the raised bed look neat and give you a support to sit on, when taking care of the plants. In addition, if you want to protect the garden bed from rot and to keep the weeds away, we recommend you to fit landscaping fabric on the inside of the box.
Don't apply regular paint or stain to the wooden boxes, without checking if their contain toxic substances.
